Egypt is a country that always makes a lot of tourists dream for its cultural richness and its fascinating history.
This is probably why the Rodin Museum has entitled its new exhibition “Dream of Egypt”, a unique selection of more than 400 objects that evoke the influence of Egyptian art in the work of Rodin.
Indeed, Rodin was also a great lover of Egypt, a passion that the museum wishes to show the public through this exhibition.
Drawings, sculptures, but also photographs and pieces from the artist's personal archives, will show you how Auguste Rodin's studies on the representation of the human body are strongly linked to the Egyptian style.
The exhibition also honors writers, antiquarians, and Egyptologists who helped the artist discover Egypt through stories, objects and visual sources.
The Rodin Museum offers you the opportunity to rediscover Egypt through the eyes and creations of Auguste Rodin and to experience, for the duration of a visit, his same passion.
Until March 5, 2023. Open Tuesday to Sunday from 10 am to 6:30 pm. Closed on Monday.
