The National Museum of Natural History is organizing an exhibition entitled “Felines”, dedicated to the study of these fascinating animals, which will be held in the Grande Galerie de l'Évolution.
This exhibition offers a unique opportunity to discover the 38 species of felines that exist on Earth today, from cats to tigers to manul, through numerous collectibles, naturalized specimens, anatomical pieces, reconstructed scenes and interactive audio and video devices. Games and activities for all ages are also offered, making this exhibition a perfect time to spend with the family!
The first part of the exhibit focuses on the presentation of these different animals, from their hunting skills to their anatomy to their coats. The second part mixes art and history to reveal the place and importance of felines through the centuries and civilizations. The exhibition also allows us to learn more about the domestication of cats, the exploitation of felines, their life in the wild and the beliefs and rituals associated with them.
This exhibition is aimed at a very wide audience, from cat lovers to animal lovers in general.
