A summer date not to be missed
Every summer, Paris finds a new way to watch a film. This year, head to Port de Suffren, where Vedettes de Paris turns its quay into an open-air cinema, no walls, no roof, just the illuminated Eiffel Tower as a backdrop.
Where and when: five nights on the quays of the 7th
Save the date: 26 to 30 August 2026, on the Port de Suffren quay, just steps from the Pont de Bir-Hakeim. Five evenings only, designed as a summer escape open to everyone — families, friends, couples, curious passers-by. Settle into a deckchair facing the water, join the pre-screening entertainment, and let the night fall over the Eiffel Tower as the film begins.
Café des Vedettes takes care of the rest, with sweet and savoury snacks and refreshments to enjoy throughout the screening.
Two formulas, one good idea
The evening is yours to shape:
- Cinema ticket only, for those heading straight for the deckchairs.
- The cruise-and-cinema combo, for a two-act evening: set sail on the Seine at sunset, then head back to the quay for the screening. Rather an elegant way of seeing Paris twice over.
Please arrive 20 minutes before the screening starts. Films are shown in their original language, subtitled in French or English depending on the source, and the programme may change due to technical constraints or force majeure.
The line-up: coming soon
The films haven't been announced yet, and that's rather the point. Vedettes de Paris favours a mix of beloved classics and recent favourites, with the Seine and the Eiffel Tower as the only backdrop.
