The Quai Branly Museum presents an artistic journey to discover the sculptures of Southwest Congo, a country rich in cultures and traditions that are very diverse.
The field of plastic arts in particular bears witness to the cultural diversity of the country. You will be able to admire the famous masks linked to the Mukanda rite, intended for young boys, but also a whole less known production of wooden statues, each one carefully analyzed in all its details.
The exhibition will also give you the opportunity to discover several objects related to historical events in the Congo or to daily life.
At the Quai Branly you will experience a real journey into the "shadow side" of the material culture of Congo.
Until April 10, 2022. Open Tuesday to Sunday from 10:30 am to 7 pm, Thursday from 10:30 am to 10 pm. Closed on Monday.
