Amateurs of Indian cuisine will be delighted to discover Sharmaji, a must-visit address in the heart of the 15th arrondissement of Paris! The owner, Chef Manoj Sharma, already known for the famous Seoul Mama, opened with his partner Sangmi Lee, wanted to create a restaurant offering modern and innovative Indian cuisine while preserving its authenticity.
Regarding the decor, you won't find paintings of the Taj Mahal or statues of Ganesh. Everything is reimagined in a contemporary and chic spirit.
On the menu, you'll find refined versions of Indian street food specialties, such as "chaat" or the famous cheese naans. The chef's priority is to respect Indian tradition, with authentic recipes passed down from his family heritage, while showcasing his personal touch.
In contrast to the Indian restaurants we're accustomed to, Sharma Ji offers a very short menu: 6 starters, 7 main courses, and 3 desserts.
We recommend trying the Kadhai-spiced lamb chops: a chef's essential and a true delight!
Classic dishes such as sautéed chicken massala, sautéed squid, or chicken curry are on the menu, and you'll be surprised by the chef's refined reinterpretation.
For vegetarians, fried eggplants or mozzarella ravioli are a real treat for your taste buds!
Cocktail enthusiasts can indulge in a selection of original signature cocktails that will transport you directly to India! We recommend the Bombay Colada, made with saffron-infused rum, coconut, coriander, and pineapple, or a Gulabi made with vodka, strawberry, yogurt, and masala cardamom.
At Sharmaji, you'll experience an exotic moment in the heart of the City of Light. If you're staying at the hotel Moderniste, it's the perfect stop for a break between the Eiffel Tower and your hotel room!
